LiFi Wireless Technology for future iPhones

LiFi Wireless Technology for future iPhones
100 times the speed of WiFi, LiFi will be used with future iPhones. A twitter user has shared an image which reveals Apple’s LiFi plans.
According to The Huffington Post, a twitter user named @kyoufujibaya tweeted:
Li-Fi testing is already imminent. May appear in the next iPhone 7 according to iOS code in iOS 9.1 firmware
This new future technology has the capability to transmit data at 100 times the speed of Wi-Fi.

LiFi wireless technology for future iPhones will begin with iOS 9.1 update. And the OS’s source code makes mention of LiFi capabilities. Apple may be experimenting with LiFi technology and finding ways to integrate this new technology with future iPhones models.
LiFi wireless technology for future iPhones was spotted in the code for iOS 9.1 by a Twitter user, and was independently confirmed by Apple Insider.
But it is not confirmed that Apple is working on it or not.
Li-Fi technology was invented by Prof. Harald Hass of the University of Edinburgh in 2011. And this new wireless technology has the capability to transmit data via light. It is 100 times faster than WiFi. A theoretical speed is around 224 gigabits per second.
However, there is no indication that Apples is using LiFi wireless technology for future iPhones, as, at presently no technology on the market uses LiFi.
Li-Fi has some limitations also. As LiFi uses light and visible light cannot penetrate through walls. Besides this, this technology also requires a direct line of sight between the transmitter and the device in order to operate. However, this limitation could be seen as a boon as it make Li-Fi secure from external sniffing.
